They’ve known each other for years and years and years, since somewhere around the second grade mark. She recalls him being being an “typical boy” in sixth grade, and neither of them can remember the first interaction they had. Its as though they were always part of each others lives, in one way or another.

They finally took notice of each other at the end of their senior year of high school, when Rob asked Sarah to the prom. Despite being over a thousand miles apart for four and a half years of college, they only grew to love each other more. So one day? Rob asked Sarah to marry him. And to his utter joy, she said yes.

Rob and Sarah, watching you all interact in the fun and lighthearted manner that you do has left me smitten with you all. You’re fun to watch and sheer bliss to photograph. Thank you so much for trusting me with the biggest day of your lives thus far, and I sincerely hope you’re enjoying the gorgeous beaches of Jamaica. (Go Buffs)

The day began at the Marriott in Tyson’s Corner. Sarah (and all of her bridesmaids) wore Toms, and the necklace Sarah wore was her mother’s.

The window light in the room was just perfect, so Sarah gave me a few minutes for some bridal portraits. I love her even more than I did before!

Their ceremony took place at Vienna Presbyterian Church– it was perfect!

It was fuh-REEZING outside, so we ducked into Starbucks for some more portraits. That one on the right? I squealed when I saw it in B&W.

The Atrium at Meadowlark Gardens was GORGEOUS! I’d never seen it at night but it was absolutely perfect

Rob and Sarah are fans of a) being awesome and 2) making people laugh. So they and their bridal party did a coordinated dance to “I’m Sexy And I Know It.”

And then during Rob and Sarah’s first dance, their song started to skip, so they broke out into a coordinated dance medley to the following songs…

I love them.

DJ Lauren Bobby had that dance floor rocking ALL NIGHT. She’s seriously one of the best wedding deejays I’ve ever experienced.

We ended the night with a soul-clenching rendition of “My Life Would Suck Without You,” courtesy of Sarah and her roommates from University of Wisconsin.
