I’m so sorry this blog post is coming so late today! I was up and out of the house early for a portrait session, hence the tardiness, but enough excuses. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty (Nacho Libre, anyone?)

So even though I decided this past fall to stop trying to make film work for my weddings and engagements, I still LOVE my Contax 645! I blogged last week about how important personal work is, and so having my film camera with me in Santa Barbara at UNITED was the perfect opportunity to shoot more just for ME. I’ve always wanted to shoot on the West Coast, and after getting my scans back from RPL, there’s no doubt in my mind that California light was MADE for film. I can’t wait to get some of these images enlarged to hang throughout our home. As much as I love the East Coast, we can have pretty dreary days from time to time- I think a dose of California sunset light is all I’ll need to keep my chin up when the skies are gray :).

The Four Season Biltmore resort was the PERFECT location for UNITED. It was relaxing to walk through and the architecture was so beautiful!
