Their love story began, as so many of the best kinds do, on a summer vacation at the beach. He’d tagged along with a family friend to Lauren’s family’s beach home, and it was there that the sparks began to pop and fly. She remembers him really and truly listening when she spoke, engaging her in conversation and smiling. Smiling a lot. Within a few days of arriving back home Lauren was hooked, and the calls and texts started rolling between the two of them.

Things continued on their sweet, merry way between the two of them- lots of trips back and forth between Texas and Virginia while she was finishing her masters degree, lot of late night phone dates. And then Tim decided it was time to make things more permanent, so he brought Lauren back to the beach. Well, actually, her mother brought Lauren back to the beach at Tim’s request in order to surprise her. They wove a web of sweet, white lies in order to fool her, so when Lauren ran into her family’s beach house to grab whatever it was her mom had asked her to retrieve, she was floored to find the entire room alight with the glow of burning candles. And Tim in a tux, waiting to ask if they could make a new kind of beginning again right here, where everything had started.

Tim & Lauren, I’m so thankful that I’ve had the chance to get to know you both! You two are such a blast to be around and I loved spending the morning in DC with you- you kept me laughing and smiling the entire time. I cannot WAIT for July!!
