The first time I met Eddie & Priyanka, I just KNEW I was going to love them. I know I’m not supposed to have favorites, but I dare you to meet these two and not feel the same way- they’re high school sweethearts, the best of friends, and they were just so EXCITED about their wedding. They were bubbling over during our first meeting about how wondering Pam had been so far, a planner I’d been dying to work with, and then when they went on to describe the crazy bunny trail that had led them to me, I found myself thinking “don’t let them see how much you already love this couple- they’ll think you’re weird.” Their joy was absolutely contagious, and the best part was how excited they were and are about their photography! We sat for more than two hours during that first meet-up, talking about them, their favorite local eateries, and their wedding images. There’s nothing that beats photographing brides and grooms who are just as excited about their wedding photographs as I am!

October 5th finally arrived and true to ATrendy Wedding style, it was STUNNING (seriously- you guys are going to die when you see it on the blog later this week!). Everything was detailed with meticulous care, and Eddie & Priyanka were truly a sight to behold. Once the donut truck arrived toward the end of the reception, I was convinced things couldn’t get any better, but then the newlyweds called me over- “we have a gift for you!” After asking my assistant Terri to take a photograph of the process, Eddie first handed me a white piece of paper and asked me to read it. And then as a smile began to spread across my face, Priyanka placed a plastic-protected, vellum envelope with emerald green ink in my hands…

Harry Potter letterI know pretty much every wedding photographer say this, but I’m convinced I have THE BEST couples in the world, and so much of that starts with a personal connection When there’s that personality match, that connection that goes beyond an appreciation of photographs, it makes everything better. The wedding day, timeline planning, driving to and from, even editing is more enjoyable. I’m SO thankful for the fact that I get to do what I love every day, and so eternally grateful for couples like these two who show me that just when I think things can’t get any better, they DO!

E & P, thank you. This will most certainly be something I keep for the rest of my life, and not just because it’s a Harry Potter relic- it’s a piece of proof that I’ll forever look on as a reminder of how worth it the pangs of running a small business are when you’re serving people you really love.

I may be way past school age now, but I finally got my Hogwarts letter :).
