After a long few months (mostly) off from shooting, my wedding & engagement season kicked off last week. And Jason & Lindsay were the PERFECT engagement session to get things started! The cherry blossoms had just started to reach full bloom over near the Capitol building, and though the morning chill was palpable, their session was unbelievably marvelous.

These two have this effortlessness about them, the way they laugh with ease and and smile often. I imagine there’s quite a bit of laughter in their lives, there certainly was during my time with Jason & Lindsay. Watching them together, how she calls him “handsome” and teases him about his serious expression, how he can’t seem to get enough of holding her hand, looping his arm around her waist; it’s enough to make anyone smile! She said she knew he was the one after their first date, and with an assuredness that certain, it’s impossible not to see it too.

Jason & Lindsay, thank you so very much for such a wonderful morning in DC! I can’t imagine a better first engagement session to start my year, and I positively cannot wait for your wedding in August!
