You guys. Tomorrow is SEPTEMBER 1ST. Which means two things: 1) it’s time to hop on the Hogwarts Express, and 2) it’s the unofficially official start of FALL! As much as I loved school as a kid, the fall season was always associated with the end of my freedom. But now that I’m all grown up, I’m free to enjoy fall for all it autumn-y goodness! I do have a few rules, though- no Oktoberfest anything until October. I want to enjoy fall-themed things for a limited amount of time because that’s what keeps it feeling special! I’m also one of those people who doesn’t listen to Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving, so that I don’t get sick of it before December 25th.
I feel like we need to have some sort of end-of-summer hoorah over here- maybe I’ll eat an entire watermelon by myself to celebrate? No, you’re right, that seems excessive. I’ll think of something else.
Because of the way my schedule worked out this year, I had a two-month hiatus from weddings this summer (which we filled with everything from anniversaries in Paris & Amsterdam to print shop launches). But this past Saturday, I kicked off the second half of my 2015 wedding season in the most gorgeous way imaginable! Patrick & Katie’s DAR wedding was one for the books, and I can’t wait for y’all to see the entire thing this Thursday on the blog. When Laura from Events In The City is the designer behind it all, you KNOW it’s going to be an incredible day!
As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week!
Happy Monday, friends! Enjoy these sweet previews from my most excellent Thursday last week!
Last thing! In case you missed out on the first run of La Vie en Rose, we just added a few more sets into the Sweet Wanderings Shop! The first batch sold out quickly, so if you’ve been thinking of a set, I’d snag that now!

Oh my gosh, I had the same problem with chest pains after a long stretch of drinking coffee and green tea a lot. Taking a break definitely helped me . . . and so did giving myself some more relaxation time. My nurse friend said it was likely anxiety related, even though I didn’t think I was THAT stressed!
Abby – your friend from church hit the nail on the head 🙂 And YAY for patio furniture! I’m sure you’re enjoying this almost-fall weather 🙂
Yes, I think it’s time you had a wedding album. Your wedding was so beautiful. Here’s wishing you more of those “Everything goes right days.” Can’t think of anyone who deserves them more.
So much joy spilling through the lines! Lovely Abby! The Paris-40´s compliment is wonderful!!
