When I think of Will & Karie, I think big smiles, an enthusiasm for time spent together, and that warmth that comes with two people who are just plain comfortable together. That’s why I LOVE that we did their engagement session at Karie’s childhood home! No pretense, no desire to dress up their relationship in a way it doesn’t naturally reside, just the two of them as they are.

They met in college, but not how you’d think- both attended the same Virginia school, but it wasn’t until they both chose to study in Madrid that their circles overlapped. Maybe it was a product of being thrown into a foreign country, or maybe it’s the fact that that foreign country was Spain (aka one of the most romantic people in the world). Whatever it was, it worked, and four years later, now living in Manhattan, they’re engaged to be married. They share a relaxed, cozy kind of love.

Will & Karie, I loved our time together! Thank you so much for being so easy to photograph, so completely content in the arms of one another. I can’t wait for your April Belle Haven wedding- it’s going to be such an adventure!
