Every once in a while I get the opportunity to work firsthand with other wedding professionals (as opposed to simply photographing the fruits of their labor at a wedding). Rachel of Floral & Bloom Designs contacted me a couple of weeks back about shooting a few of her bouquets for her new website and I KNEW this would be the perfect opportunity to test out my desire to shoot a mostly-film session. Florals, especially bridal bouquets, are the perfect subject for the soft, delicate feel of film, so I knew we at least had to try! Rachel, her friend Terri (our gorgeous model) and I met up at Manassas Battlefield with a couple of bouquets, a wedding dress and a bridesmaid gown and… well, I think these may be my new favorite scans :).
