In the midst of a hectic wedding season, I almost forgot how much I love pushing my own creativity. The first time I met Mike & Jen, Jen mentioned that her father is a photographer and has been taking photos for as long as she can remember. The kind of photographer who owns his own dark room, so you know it’s legit. And then they asked if I might be willing to shoot a bit of black & white film at their engagement session, because they may want to do something like a gel print? Um, YES. I typically don’t shoot film at my engagement sessions, but after getting this one B&W roll back I think I might start toting it along- I LOVE how these turned out! And now I’m kicking myself for only shooting the one roll!
Mike & Jen, thank you so much for pushing me! I needed that dose of creativity during one of the craziest seasons of the year, and I’m grateful you were willing to let me play a bit during your session. Thanks for making me fall back in love with b&w film- it’s where I began in the first place, and your session helped me remember my roots :).
