Confession: I didn’t post a Monday Mash-Up yesterday because I was too busy sleeping in. Well, sleeping in after arriving back home from a 5:45 am sunrise session, but same jist!

Every photographer’s threshold for how many weddings they can realistically handle within a period of time is different- I’ve heard of some photos doing triple-headers (three weddings in one weekend) week in and week out, managing just fine. For me, I can’t do that. Over the past few years in the industry I’ve learned my limits and have learned the consequences of ignoring said limits, so I do my best to operate within the confines of what’s realistically possible for me. I just finished up a six-week stretch of a wedding each weekend, and since I’m still handling all my own editing + the editing of an engagement/anniversary/portrait session taken on throughout the week, it’s enough to keep me pretty dang busy.

Truth be told, I’m kind of exhausted. In the best way possible, of course, but still tired all the same. I just needed a break from my computer yesterday. And today, I’m working from the couch, wearing my glasses, yoga pants and a t-shirt, with a puppy on either side keeping my company.

Life is good.

I have several exciting things in the works right now, all of which are in some state of half-finished-ness (workshop, anyone? 🙂 ). But the rest of this week is going to be dedicated to finishing up edits, following up with my couples, tweaking my systems to make them even more automated, and loving my clients well.

I’m not sure what the point of this blog post was. There’s no hard-hitting message at the end, nothing I’ll say that’s worth Tweeting or Pinning. But I’m thankful that you’re reading it, and I’m grateful for today.

Tulle skirt! Abby Grace Photography

Disclaimer: I look NOTHING like this today. But I refuse to post a photo of myself in my glasses because I kind of look like a bug in them. Sooo there ya go. Also, let’s take a sec to give Matt a round of applause for taking this photo- for someone who maintains that he doesn’t like taking pictures, he sure is good at it!
