I never really think about how much Lily’s grown until I see photos from our first few days with her. And then I get all “aww, I wish she was that small again!” and start telling Matt how we should get another puppy. And then he says “NO.” Dangit. Today’s is Lily’s appointment with the vet to get…fixed, and I kept trying to convince Matt that we should postpone the appoinment so that Lily can have a litter of puppies! Again, Matt said “NO.” So I appeal with the “but what if she really WANTS to be a mother? I don’t think we should have the right to take that away from her!” or a “her green eyes! If she gets spayed then she’s a genetic dead end and she can’t pass on those beautiful eyes!”

It didn’t work. Matt left at 6:30 this morning to take Lily to the vet, and I lost my short-lived dream of becoming a den mother. Dangit. Also, I apologize for the awful white balance in these images. 🙂

She comes and hangs out in my office with me while I work at night, occasionally curling up at my feet under my desk. So excited to spend work days with my girl!

Also, thanks for bearing with my abbreviated posts over the next week or two! I usually prep my blog the night before, but with the combination of transitioning to only one full-time career (woooo!), trying to finish my website (which is harder than you’d think) and editing my normal workload of images, I’m kind of all over the place right now. Thanks for giving me grace!
