Hullo thar, Monday. I see you’ve decided to show your face again. Well, just know that I’ve got my eye on you. Don’t make any sudden moves, k? K.

I’ve got wanderlust, and I’ve got it bad. After my last adventure in Europe, I thought it would quell that insatiable desire to see more of the world, but turns out it was only a temporary fix. Lately, I’ve been dreaming of the Loire valley, Marseilles, the lochs of Scotland, and old Rome. No, like literally dreaming- two nights ago I dreamt (dreamed?) I was in Italy and only had 4 hours to walk around Venice. Talk about nightmares.

And first world problems.

Let’s just dive into those lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week, shall we?

  • You guys!!! Registration for A Practical Wedding Workshop opened last Thursday and within four hours, there were only two seats left! As of this morning? There’s only ONE seat remaining. And the $100 discount code (SUNRISE) expires today. What I’m trying to say is, “if you’ve been thinking of attending, get yo butt in gear!”
  • I spent this weekend at my Granny & Pawpaw’s house down in Roanoke, where I proceeded to blow my Paleo diet to smithereens. We went to Red Lobster on Friday night and I ate *four* cheddar biscuits. And I’m not even a little bit sorry about it.
  • My grandparents are the best. I love that I can go down to visit and even if we end up doing nothing but sitting on the couch listening to a baseball game, it’s still an amazing time.
  • Our wedding quilt is finished! “Wait a sec,” you might be thinking. “Haven’t you been married for 3+ years at this point?” Yes, we have. But quilts are a labor of love and take hundreds of hours to complete, and since I was brash enough to ask for one of the most complicated designs out there, it took a while.
  • This is one of those obnoxiously mysterious, tantalizingly vague points- we have something SO AWESOME in the works and I’m bursting to tell you guys! But I can’t just yet. Soon, though. And no, we’re not expecting. Because when you’re a 20-something and you’ve been married for a few years, that seems to be an increasingly necessary disclaimer. 🙂

A preview from Terry & Flo’s Anniversary Experience session last week. I love how this session looked a bit different than most of my anniversary sessions in the past- it’s such a testament to exactly where they are in their lives right now, and I had the privilege of documenting it! I’m so excited to get my film back from this!
