It’s another Workshop day here at the Springmann home, and I am SO excited!! With every new group of photographers we welcome into our home, the more I get excited about my own clients- I LOVE sharing all that I’ve learned over the last five years and teaching lights my fire to go and create something beautiful! I know today’s going to be amazing and I can’t wait to share a full recap with you later this week, but in the mean time, let’s get to Mash-Uping.

So last week was big- in case you missed the announcement, we’re opening a print shop!! We launched pre-order for our first product, La Vie en Rose, a set of 12 fine art photography notecards. And within two days, we’d sold every set available for pre-order!! We’ve been working really hard to get these ready to ship later this week, so if you snagged one of the early sets, just know it’s coming to you soon :). And know what’s really difficult? Trying to narrow down all my past travel work into a few select images for the print shop. Agonizing, I tell you!

As always, lessons learned over the past week:

  • The #50daysinParis series ended on Thursday… and I’m now at an almost-complete loss as to what to post on Insta anymore. I think that means we need another series! The scans from my time in France a couple of weeks ago is due back this week, though, sooo maybe that’s the solution!
  • Ant Man. If you haven’t seen it already, go do it. If you like action films, that is.
  • Ever need a dose of self-esteem? Simple solution: just have your photo taken by Katleyn James! Kat of Dear Sweetheart Events asked me to model for the Designed & Styled workshop last week with Amanda Veronee, and Katelyn was the one photographing it- let me tell you. She made 94 degree weather worth it. I haven’t felt that beautiful in a long time!
  • I made a wreath for our front door! And what’s even more impressive, I picked out my supplies in about 10 minutes at Michael’s without any advance planning! I’m not really the type to craft on the fly, so this is a major feat for me. Go ahead, be impressed.
  • Tim & Cristina are the best. Matt & I had dinner with the two of them on Saturday night, and when they arrived at our home, Cristine presented me with a gorgeous bottle of champagne and said “I don’t know if it’s any good, but the bottle looks like it belongs at Hogwarts and I knew we had to get it for you!” Yep, I have the best #clientsturnedfriends ever!
  • Want to know what makes an engagement session even better? A couple who has a talent for quoting movies that’s on par with your own. Steve & Kara’s session was perfection!!

Here’s a small peek into the gorgeousness of Steve & Kara- their full blog post is coming later this week!
