If you’ve been following my blog for a little while, you already know I love morning light. It is the BEE’S. KNEES. Morning light make me squeal, jump up and down, and chimp like a total n00b (for those who don’t know, “chimping” is when you look at the back of your camera and go “ooh ooh ooh!”). I’ve never once regretted getting up two hours before dawn for photos… except for that original 15 minutes right after I wake up and see my alarm clock says 4:30 am. “Why the HECK do I do this to myself?” I find myself thinking. And then I remember it’s because it’s TOTALLY AWESOME. I’ve never ever had a couple regret their decision to join me at sunrise, and I hope that continues on for forever!
Things I learned this weekend:
More film shots, straight of out camera (SOOC).
Happy Monday!

OMG! I HATE ticks with a firey passion! We once went hiking/camping in MAy and when we got home Chloe had 7+ ticks we had pulled off of her. I gave her a bath outside in the yard and pulled off 3 or 4 more. I dried her off and let her back in the house. I didn’t find any ticks on me but later while Chloe was sleeping I saw a little black thing sticking out of her furry face. ANOTHER TICK! Those things get everywhere! I also found one crawling on our bedspread later that night. Needless to say we haven’t taken her camping in hot weather since then!
And now my head totally itches……. gross. In other news, all these pics are completely gorgeous! I LOVE the closeup of the wildflowers……. the colors are stunning.
Beautiful photos, Abby. I do hate ticks!! I found one on my neck the other day and wondered if it was a Vampire tick!!
GIRL i feel you on the creepy tick thing – hubs and i went for a hike yesterday and i found a tick on myself and i felt so icky!!! haha also those film shots are GORGEOUS. so beautiful.
that last shot is my FAV. Sadie enjoys cotton balls too!
The shots were beautiful! And cute story about Lily. One further thought on the ticks: don’t dismiss them lightly. I have Lyme Disease and it isn’t pretty. Be careful about the ticks. No, be vigilant about the possibility of ticks when you got out to places where ticks might reside. Wearing a baseball cap or even a full brimmed hat would be a great place to start.
