The best word to describe them together is fun. From beginning to end of their engagement session, Charles & Suzie laughed (and kept us laughing!) the whole way through. After 10 years as a couple, they have such a good time simply being together! When I asked what they were most anticipating when it came to their December wedding, he gave my most favorite answer- “I’m really just looking forward to marrying her.” YES!!

We started their session off at one of Suzie’s father’s restaurants in Alexandria and then wound our way through Old Town. I definitely stumbled upon one or two new hidden spots that I’d not seen before in Old Town, all thanks to these two! We finished up at a dock on the Potomac, where their Frenchie, Croix, joined us for a few minutes of sunset photos (and who treated us to the “Frenchie scream” that had me dying with laughter).

Suzie & Charles, I love your joie de vivre! You both have such amazing energy that made it a blast to spend the evening photographing and getting to know you both. I’m so, so excited to see you both again in December and to capture your first day as husband and wife!!
