I remember Jody from when I was a little ballerina- she was a household name at the studio where I grew up, one of those legends who was living the dream of all us tiny dancers. She was a real ballerina, dancing at a company! So imagine my surprise five years ago when Matt and I started attended the church we’re at now, and Jody & her husband Allen were there, with a brand new ballet studio under their names!
Jody’s opinion carries a lot of weight, so when she emailed me to suggest one of her dancers for one of my ballerina sessions, I was 100% on board. And, of course, it turned out perfectly- Annabelle is an exquisite dancer, I could have spent all day with her in front of my camera. I have a feeling this girl’s going to be a BIG deal- she was singled out by Lauren Lovette during a master class at the Kennedy Center, and her maturity as a ballerina is so far beyond what you’d expect from someone her age!
Annabelle- thank you so much for shooting with me! It was a DELIGHT to have you in front of my lens, and I can’t wait to see where the next few months and years take you :).
Huge, huge thanks to Skye Ballet Center for opening the studio to us for the afternoon, and to Lindsay of No Filter Glam who did an impeccable job on hair & makeup- I LOVE that we got to do two looks for Annabelle’s hair! Dream team, y’all!
