Every year for the last FOUR years, I’ve reached a point in the summer and become nervous. “Why haven’t I booked anything new in the last few weeks?!” It causes panic and anxiety, and most of the time, there’s NO REASON for it. Why? Because in reality, my wedding season tends to book up in chunks!

In general, our heaviest booking times are April-June, and October-November. That’s not to say we don’t book outside of those times at ALL, it just means that according to our past couples, that’s when we’re the busiest with meetings, emails, and new contracts! How do I know that? Because we track it. In the past when we were using Pixifi, it had this really handy feature that could break down your monthly bookings and projected income. So we knew which months were likely to be busier, and which ones we could take a breather during.

But why does that matter? Because when it’s August and I start to freak out a little, Matt’s there to remind me “It’s ok! According to our booking history, August has never been a busy booking month for you. Don’t start to sweat just yet.”

So here’s what you need to do: open an Excel sheet, name the rows January-December, and name the columns “inquiries” and “bookings.” Record every inquiry that comes in each month, and each new booking. At the end of the year, look it over- when were you the busiest? Which months were your slower ones?

How does this have anything to do with this “free class” you mentioned, Abby?? Well, those first few weeks of interaction with a client AFTER booking are crucial to making an unforgettable impression, and without meaning to, you could be missing out on giving your clients an extraordinary experience.

The good news is that the fix isn’t crazy complicated! I’m teaching a brand new webinar, Make Booking Great Again, one Tuesday the 25th at 6:00pm EST and would LOVE to have you join us! In the Make Booking Great Again class, I’ll be sharing five EASY ways to rock your client experience from the very beginning- from face to face meetings, to the way you communicate with your couples, down to you client gifts, we’re going to get real about what works.

And at the end of the webinar? We’re going to be launching my brand new, much-anticipated class A Practical Engagement Course! But don’t worry- even if you have no intention of getting the course, the cost-free class alone is absolutely going to be worth your time. I promise I won’t be one of those people who hooks you with the promise of free education, only to spend an hour telling you why you should give me your money. Because I’ve been on the other end of that, and it is a waste. of. your. time.

So if you’re ready to Make Booking Great Again, get signed up for the webinar HERE– we’ll see you on Tuesday at 6!
