It took him three tries to get her to go on that first date- “I think she liked playing hard to get,” he said with a smile. But as the saying goes, the third time’s the charm and they finally found themselves out on that elusive date. And then another date… and another one. There were trips to the beach, lots of those, and somewhere between Ocean City and Salisbury, Maryland, they fell in love. Real, authentic love. So when Billy, a middle school PE teacher, arrived to pick Jenny up on a date wearing khakis, rather than his usual basketball shorts, she knew something was afoot. He told her he wanted to take her back to the beach to enjoy the ocean, which wouldn’t have seemed strange if it weren’t January and absolutely freezing outside. But the chilly weather worked to their advantage- they had the entire beach to themselves, so when he lowered himself to one knee to ask her to be his wife, it was just them, the ocean, and miles of sand in either direction. Perfect.

Billy & Jenny, I knew within the first two minutes of meeting you all that you belong together. It was such a pleasure spending the morning with you both and I’m so thankful to have had the chance to photograph your love!
