Goooood morning, Vietnam! And by “Vietnam,” I mean “interwebs.”
It’s the Tuesday after Labor Day, which means it’s the officially unofficial first day of fall. Nevermind that the high today in Virginia is supposed to be 93 with scattered thunderstorms (YESSS!!), it’s the first day of school, which means summer is dead and gone until next year. I try not to be the person that wishes away entire seasons of life (you know, that friend who says in the middle of June “I just can’t wait for fall!”), but dangit if I’m not looking forward to football season and sweaters!
Can we talk about the fact that Starbucks released their Pumpkin Spice Latte last week? That feels borderline sinful. I’m the kind of person who waits until the day after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas music- I don’t want a particular season to last for TOO long because I don’t want to get sick of it! So I’ll make myself wait until the officially official start of fall (September 23) to enjoy anything autumn-related, like Sam Adams’ Oktoberfest. But not Pumpkin Spice Lattes, because as hard as I’ve tried to like them, I just can’t choke that crap down.
As always, lessons learned/things that transpired over the weekend:
Oh hey, wouldja look at this gorgeous pair? Their Sequoia National Forest wedding is coming to the blog this week!!

well placed cussed words have their place 😉
Haha, this blog post brightened my whole morning. LOL. 🙂
Oh man, I’m so with you when it comes to waiting to enjoy certain seasons because you don’t want to get sick of it…ESPECIALLY when it comes to Fall/Winter. I know there’s only a small window of time when it’s fun/enjoyable to have cold weather and I don’t want to use up all my excitement about pumpkins and Christmas while it’s still 90 degrees outside!
Also…pumpkin spice lattes = so gross.
this post made me love you a lot!!!! seriously so funny.
Cuss words I can do without. In good times, everyone can laugh about this type of language, but when tempers flair, these words make pain hurt worse. If the words “fudge” or “duck” don’t do the trick, it is better to practice more succinct words.
Exception – “Jesus this coffee is hot!”. This is a prayer, albeit an imperfect one.
Can’t wait to see the mash up photos.
Love the photo! You are so funny! Love you.
You’re silly 😛
I saw this thing going around Facebook about all the toxic crap in PSLs and decided maybe I shouldn’t drink them. 🙁 You’re better off not liking them!
Love Love Love… all of this!
Oh and on my upcoming most favorite day of the next month (you know what I’m talking about because You’ll be there!!)… well placed words will be more than appropriate! But oh “huffle-puff” is my personal favorite filler 😉 Thought you’d appreciate!
