They’d planned on meeting for drinks only, both bookending their nights with plans with other friends. “Just in case the date went poorly and we needed an excuse to get away,” she recalled with a laugh. And yet, both Jake & Abby cancelled those after-drinks plans with friends; they’d enjoyed their meeting so much that they decided they weren’t ready to leave yet. Besides, what’s drinks without dinner to follow? And so the date that was only meant to last an hour some how turned into two, then three, and so on. She was hooked and so was he, and they haven’t looked back once.

Jake & Abby, it was an inexpressible joy to spend the morning with you both as the sun steadily climbed higher. You both are so relaxed and free with one another, it was inspiring to behold and photograph. Thank you for letting me in! I’m so, so excited for your Charlottesville wedding next year!
