You might remember these two from their stunning sailboat engagement session! I wish you could have been there to see them on their wedding day. They were so sweet to behold- despite the flurry of activity, Natalie was the very picture of calm before slipping into her dress, and David couldn’t wipe the grin off his face. Content, at peace, just so very ready to say their vows to one another. It was an absolutely beautiful day in Norfolk, Virginia, the exact sort of weather you’d cross your fingers and pray for!
My favorite part of their day was how they each seemed to breathe a sigh of relief after their first look. That’s one of the things about wedding days- the entire morning, you’re away from the person who helps you feel the most relaxed. As the ceremony draws nearer, nerves have a tendency to creep in, with decisions needing to be made and last-minute details needing to be answered to. I love that David & Natalie chose to see one another before the ceremony, giving them the chance to enjoy a slice of time together before they were joined by bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members!
David & Natalie, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day! With how crazy a season of engagement has the potential to be, I was thrilled to watch you both be PRESENT on your wedding day, soaking it all in and enjoying the first day of marriage to its fullest!
