Every once in a while I get the opportunity to work firsthand with other wedding professionals (as opposed to simply photographing the fruits of their labor at a wedding). Rachel of Floral & Bloom Designs contacted me a couple of weeks back about shooting a few of her bouquets for her new website and I KNEW this would be the perfect opportunity to test out my desire to shoot a mostly-film session. Florals, especially bridal bouquets, are the perfect subject for the soft, delicate feel of film, so I knew we at least had to try! Rachel, her friend Terri (our gorgeous model) and I met up at Manassas Battlefield with a couple of bouquets, a wedding dress and a bridesmaid gown and… well, I think these may be my new favorite scans :).

Thanks ladies for all the sweet compliments! Abby, I had so much fun doing this with you. I’m so glad you were able to experiment more with film…..and well the pictures turned out AMAZING! This is probably my 100th time thanking you but I’m doing it again because this was such a dream come true for me for you to photograph some of my work.
