He stood there between the picket fences, waiting for his bride. As the minutes ticked on, he kicked at the grass, pulled his hands in and out of his pockets, readjusted his tie for the twentieth time. “Can I turn around yet?” “Not yet.” He smiled, knowing his bride’s tendency to run a little bit behind. Then after what must have seemed likes ages to Jay, she finally she emerged from the quaint country house where she’d spent the morning, and as she walked down the path toward his turned back he smiled, knowing the wait was almost over. The moment he turned around his face split into a wide, jubilant smile- here was his bride, with just as joyous of a smile on her face, and today? Today was theirs.
Jay & Meagan, your wedding was one of the most heartfelt occasions I’ve ever had the joy of documenting. Your love for Christ, your heart for missions and your outright adoration of each other blessed me in so many ways! Thank you a thousand times over for inviting me in on the biggest of days to capture your memories- I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much at a wedding!
The wedding day began at Rodes Farm…
Jay & Meagan’s wedding was an absolute labor of love- almost everything was made my hand. All the bouquets were assembled by Meagan and her bridesmaids, and the cookies below were made by her maid of honor, Joanna!
Y’all know how much I love First Looks :).
I knew, after shooting their e-session, that Jay & Meagan knew how to work the camera. But they blew me away all over again on Saturday!
Married! And a post-ceremony celebratory twirl!
Jay & Meagan, if you all don’t put this one on a canvas, I most definitely will.
